Watching the games at MiXR venues in 2025 comes with added excitement, as fans can use their purchasing power to show national pride through the MiXR Pub Nations ‘Mission’.

Pub Nations is a campaign that unites fans to represent their country across both the men’s and women’s tournaments, culminating in the crowning of the first-ever Pub Nations Champion!

Every burger, pint, soft drink, or salad purchased during the Guinness Six Nations earns consumers points on the MiXR app. Each point lifts your nation’s standing, bringing your country closer to victory while unlocking exclusive rugby rewards and bar discounts throughout the championships.

With every scan of the MiXR QR code, your country rises on the MiXR Pub Nations leaderboard, inching closer to the Pub Nations crown.

43% of Rugby Fans dread being stuck in the Pub with England fans during Six Nations

  • Data from MiXR, the pub and bar loyalty app, shows that 55% of rugby supporters are most keen to see England beaten in this year’s Six Nations
  • 25% of fans support a country in the Six Nations that they have never visited
  • 22% say their only connection to the nation they support is their grandparent or great-grandparent
  • This year, fans will have the chance to use their in-pub purchasing power to show their national pride through the MiXR Pub Nations ‘Mission’.

Research has revealed that England supporters are the group rugby fans would least like to be stuck with in the pub during this year’s Guinness Six Nations.

In a survey conducted by MiXR, more than two-fifths (43%) ¹ of rugby fans named England supporters as the group they would most like to avoid when heading to their local to watch the tournament.

While escaping them may be a priority, getting one over the Red Roses is even more important. Over half of those surveyed (55%) said that England is the team they most want their nation to beat in the Six Nations, with two-thirds (67%) admitting they would support another nation when they play against England.

As for who they are cheering on themselves, it appears that choosing a team to support in this year’s Six Nations is not always straightforward. More than a quarter (25%) of fans said they supported a nation they have never even visited, while over one in five (22%) said their decision to back a country was based on having a grandparent or great-grandparent from there.

How to take part in Pub Nations

Whilst most of us will never get the chance to play in the Six Nations, MiXR has launched the Pub Nations, an alternative tournament giving fans the chance to represent their nation in the true heartland of rugby, the pub.

During the tournament, the MiXR app will track the points ‘scored’ on food & drink by fans of each nation in 500 pubs nationwide. The nation that racks up the most MiXR points will take the illustrious Pub Nations crown and bragging rights over their neighbours. So, even if your nation doesn’t show up on the pitch, national pride can be restored at the pub!

Anyone who signs up to take part using the MiXR app, will also be rewarded with a free pint of Guinness and unlock exclusive rugby rewards and bar discounts throughout the championship.

Finally, your God-given talent for watching the rugby at the pub has been recognised!
