Ty Nant Expands Portfolio with Acquisitions of Decantae and Fonthill Water

Welsh premium beverage brand strengthens UK market position and diversifies offerings

Ty Nant, the luxury bottled water company headquartered in Bethania, Wales, has announced its acquisition of two established British water brands, Decantae Mineral Water and Fonthill Spring Water, from the US-based Primo Water Corporation. The move marks another significant step in Ty Nant’s strategy to solidify its position as a leading premium water producer in the UK.

The acquisitions follow Ty Nant’s purchase of the Welsh water and mixer brand Llanllyr Source in late 2023 and come as the company continues to gain recognition for its rapid growth. This year, Ty Nant was named the UK’s fastest-growing bottled water company by the Alantra Fast 50 and ranked as the fourth fastest-growing food and beverage business in the country. The company has also achieved profitability while commanding the highest average price per litre among UK mineral and spring water brands.

Decantae, sourced from the foothills of Snowdonia, is a well-established name in the premium bottled water market across the UK and Europe. Its product range includes innovative packaging solutions such as cuplets designed for travel retail and healthcare sectors, which will complement Ty Nant’s existing glass and PET bottle offerings.

Meanwhile, Fonthill Spring Water, originating from the Fonthill Bishop Estate in Wiltshire, brings an iconic British water source to Ty Nant’s portfolio. This acquisition not only expands the company’s product range but also introduces Ty Nant to the water cooler market with its 15-litre bottles, catering to commercial, educational, and healthcare sectors.

Raminder Sidhu, Chairman of Ty Nant, emphasized the alignment of values and goals between Ty Nant and its newly acquired brands. “Our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and exceptional customer service aligns perfectly with the ethos of Decantae and Fonthill,” he said. “These acquisitions are pivotal in our vision to grow a diversified super-premium adult beverage group where each product carries a deep sense of provenance.”

Looking ahead, Sidhu outlined plans for further innovation and international expansion in 2025. The company is set to introduce eco-friendly aluminium bottles and cans, update the design of Llanllyr Source products, and expand its footprint to 10 new export markets. Ty Nant will also launch new flavours from its Kings Hill gin distillery in Edinburgh’s Pentland Hills.

With these strategic acquisitions and developments, Ty Nant is poised to continue its growth trajectory while enhancing its reputation as a premium, sustainable beverage brand.
