Domaine du Météore’s organic white wine takes its name, Sunflowers, from the famous sunflower painted by Van Gogh in Languedoc near the meteor crater. Sunflowers white wine is a blend of organic Rousanne and Viognier grapes typical of the region where the Domaine is located. The Sunflowers wine bottle has a beautiful label depicting the masterpiece, with the name Sunflowers written below.

Domaine du Météore’s Avenue of Poplars in Autumn red wine is a blend of organic Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre grapes. The red wine is called Avenue of Poplars in Autumn after the beautiful autumn landscape with tall poplar trees lining the roads, typical of the Languedoc region. The Avenue of Poplars in Autumn bottle’s label depicts Van Gogh’s 1884 painting, which he described to his brother as “a study of an avenue of poplars with the yellow autumn leaves, where the sun makes glittering patches here and there on the fallen leaves on the ground…”

Domaine du Météore’s Le Météore Rosé

Originating from Languedoc in southern France, Le Météore is an organic, very pale rosé

 with a slight rose flower tinge. It is made from a range of 40% Organic Grenache and 20% Organic Syrah grapes. The nose is delicate with aromas of raspberry, strawberry, and grapefruit with a touch of white pepper. In the mouth, the roundness, smoothness and freshness are well balanced.

Bold, gold, smooth and dry, Van Hunks Brut Cap Classique is easy drinking, with perfect tiny bubbles. Van Hunks Cap Classique is produced using a traditional method identical to Méthode Champenoise. It is bottle-fermented in small batches and matured in contact with the lees for approximately 30 months. Showcasing the best of South African sparkling wine, this Cap Classique is a blend of red and white grapes displaying the full, balanced, yeasty complexity synonymous with a wine made in this style. The wine retains its fresh zestiness that is a result of crisp acidity and delicate fruit.

Domaine du Météore Le Cratère Sparkling Rosé

Over ten thousand years ago, a meteorite struck a hillside in Southern France and formed a crater. The vines used to make Domaine du Mètèore’s Le Cratère Sparkling Rosé grow in and around this crater. This organic ‘Method Champenoise’ sparkling rosé, made from Syrah grapes, has delicate aromas of redcurrant and strawberry alongside a hint of citrus fruit and white pepper. Le Cratère Sparkling Rosé has a smooth and fresh taste with excellent balance and an elegant saline finish.
