Set to launch January 2025, OAK by Chris Emery is a brand-new restaurant and dining space at Crazy Bear Stadhampton. With seating for just 42 covers, OAK will celebrate the finest local and seasonal ingredients through innovative, ingredient-led dishes inspired by Emery’s extensive career.

The completely redesigned restaurant combines contemporary elegance with a rustic charm that reflects its Oxfordshire countryside setting. OAK’s warm, inviting atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop for Emery’s love of flavours.

“With OAK, we’ve created a space and a menu that focuses on letting the seasons guide us.” said Chris Emery.

OAK’s menu highlights simplicity and bold flavour combinations, showcasing Emery’s passion for seasonal British produce. Diners can expect beautifully crafted dishes such as steamed brill with scallop, fennel, celeriac & green curry sauce as well as cured salmon with burnt cucumber, nori & lettuce puree—each dish tells a story of its origins, presented with care and creativity.

Emery brings a wealth of experience to OAK, having honed his craft at world-renowned establishments including The Waterside Inn and Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social. His philosophy centres on showcasing the best of British ingredients and delivering dishes that balance creativity and approachability.
