The North West’s Largest Roller Rink is Landing in Manchester
Get ready to lace up Manchester! Archie’s, the beloved family-owned burger joint famed for its “shakes, ridiculously indulgent waffles, and fresh handmade smashed star burgers”, has announced that its groundbreaking leisure concept, Archie’s Atomic, is set to open this autumn at Trafford Palazzo.
Archie’s is aiming to shake up the experiential hospitality sector in Manchester and beyond with the introduction of the North West’s largest roller rink. The venue will also feature an arcade area with an immersive games box, private party rooms, DJ decks, an Archie’s diner and Archie’s milkshake bar. All creating a unique entertainment spot for all ages to enjoy.
Archie’s Atomic, located in Trafford Palazzo in the former NEXT site, next to NERF Action Xperience and SEA LIFE Manchester, has invested £3 million into the site and will occupy a whopping 25,000 sq. ft. space. The star attraction of this next-gen experience is a spectacular 5,000 sq. ft. roller rink, designed to welcome skaters of all ages and skill levels whether a newbie or a pro on wheels!
The roller rink venue will blend Archie’s signature bright pink branding with a sleek, industrial design. Alongside the rink will be a state-of-the-art amusement arcade, private rooms available to hire and a dedicated milkshake bar offering Archie’s famous milkshakes and ice cream. Sip and skate – what could be better?
Feeling peckish after a few laps? Guests can look forward to enjoying the full Archie’s menu onsite including the delicious smash burgers, alongside this, special VIP food and drink packages will also be available for purchase in the private party rooms. The new Archie’s diner located in Archie’s Atomic will sit alongside the original diner located in Trafford Palazzo and the Trafford Centre.
From delicious smash burgers to the North West’s biggest roller rink, the Archie’s story continues to be driven by the dream of its four founders. Motivated by their favourite childhood movie, they created their quirky American diner brand, bringing Archie’s to life in the heart of Manchester. Now, the team aims to recreate the all-American roller rink experience seen in the film, further expanding their unique brand vision.
Phil Holt, Project Manager at Archie’s, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to bring Archie’s Atomic to Trafford Palazzo. This venue will be unlike anything seen before in the UK. Combining our iconic food and décor with a retro roller disco feel, the new venue will be complete with huge LEDs, screens, state of the art arcade games and a vibrant atmosphere. We believe this will take the Archie’s brand to the next level and provide an unforgettable experience for our guests.”
Mark Whittaker, Executive Director of Retail and Leisure at Peel, commented: “Archies has been a great success at Trafford Palazzo, and we have no doubt this new concept is going to be received just as positively. When you put it alongside the great line-up of experience-led operators such as King Pins, Legoland, and Sealife, you’ve got everything you need for a fun and enjoyable day out at Trafford Palazzo.”
Archie’s Atomic is set to become a go-to destination for families, friends, and Archie’s fans alike, delivering a perfect blend of fun, food, and nostalgia and will be landing at Trafford Palazzo THIS Autumn
