All Things Fungi Festival (ATFF) the UK’s first and only dedicated mushroom festival, is returning for its second year from 13th to 15th September 2024. This unique festival celebrates the fascinating world of fungi through arts, music, and education, tapping into the phenomenal global interest in all things fungi.
Following a sold-out inaugural event, ATFF promises an even more immersive exploration of fungi, highlighting their diverse roles in healthcare, food production, and ecosystem services. Fungi are increasingly seen as potential solutions to global challenges like climate change and food insecurity, making this festival particularly timely.
A One-of-a-Kind Experience
Situated on the beautiful Chiddinglye estate in East Sussex, surrounded by meadows, forests, and dark skies, the festival offers a unique opportunity to explore the multifaceted world of fungi. Attendees can immerse themselves in nature while discovering the artistic, scientific, and therapeutic aspects of mushrooms in this three-day camping event.
Stellar Line-Up of Artists and Experts
The festival features award-winning DJ Auntie Flo, also known as sound artist Brian d’Souza, who will transform mushroom biorhythms into captivating sounds. Mercury Prize-nominated folk singer Sam Lee will curate the main music stage, with performances by African-Celtic dance band Baka Beyond.
Artists curated by ATFF co-founder and botanical artist Jana Nicole include acclaimed bio-artist Anna Dumitriu, Rob Bintley (UV fungi spray painting), Emily Stappleton-Jefferis (creating prototaxites sculptures), John King (mushroom glass blowing), and William Brown, author of Fungalphabet, who will introduce babies and toddlers to the world of fungi on Sunday’s Family Day.

Culinary Mushroom Delights
The festival offers delectable fungi-themed culinary experiences, with creations by MasterChef finalist Ollie Hunter using locally grown produce. Attendees can also enjoy offerings from Bristol Fungarium, the leading mushroom tincture producer in the UK, and Dragons’ Den winners London Nootropics.
Expanded Capacity and New Areas
With interest surging, ATFF has increased capacity to 600 attendees and introduced dedicated spaces for children and families, an art gallery, and the Lounge, a new intimate acoustic sound stage with covered seating.
