Cinelli, the iconic Italian bicycle manufacturer, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with La Dolce Velo, appointing them as the exclusive distributor of Cinelli bicycles, frames, components, apparel and accessories in Australia. La Dolce Velo will also handle the non-exclusive distribution of Columbus components, Cinelli’s sister company.

Peter Barnes, the visionary founder of La Dolce Velo, expressed his enthusiasm for representing such a prestigious brand. “It is an honour to bring Cinelli back to the Australian cycling community. We are excited to foster a new era of growth and passion for cycling in Australia,” said Barnes. His impressive track record includes founding the Livelo bike rental market in Sydney in 2012 and successfully expanding it to over 40 cities worldwide. Barnes plans to replicate this success with La Dolce Velo, distributing Cinelli products throughout Australia, building a network of dealers with exclusive territorial rights, and establishing trusted customer relationships.

In addition to distribution, Barnes is keen on partnering with a local team to mirror the success of the MBH BANK Colpack Ballan team in Italy, which has seen significant victories in Europe using the Cinelli Pressure aero bike.

Victor Luis, Chairman of Gruppo, the parent company of Cinelli and Columbus is excited to see this new partnership flourish. “Our brands have history of innovation and quality that is over 75 and 100 years respectively and we are excited to enter the Australian market with a partner that shares our values and our desire to support the Australian biking community” stated Luis.
