As the nights drawn in, the Great Northern Hotel in King’s Cross is bringing back the elegance and glamour of the golden age of jazz to its stunning RAILS Restaurant. On Friday 18th October, diners can enjoy live jazz and elevated classics from its new à la carte menu.
Escape from chilly autumn nights to the chic and atmospheric surroundings of RAILS with its dark wood panelling, intimate booths and beautiful lighting courtesy of the showstopping centrepiece chandelier.
Dishes, marrying British and French flair, include pumpkin, sage and burrata cannelloni; seared Coley with buttered leeks, roasted purple cauliflower and clam velouté or for sharing à deux, there’s a 1kg Porterhouse steak and a classic beef wellington. For dessert, decadent options include maple and pumpkin tart with pecan crumble and cranberry coulis and autumn fruit pavlova with chestnut cream.
Sultry jazz sounds are provided by the Rocca Brother’s Vocal Trio with brothers Joel and Ben on saxophone and keyboard accompanied by singer Patricia Elizabeth. Playing a dynamic mix of jazz classics and hits from music legends, expect crowd-pleasing favourites such as ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ by Frank Sinatra, ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ by Stevie Wonder and ‘Back To Black’ by Amy Winehouse.
RAILS Restaurant at the Great Northern Hotel, where British classics meet French finesse, is the perfect date night rendezvous or for catching-up with friends as the nights draw in.
