Garfield mania has arrived with the countdown to the May 24th animated movie of the year celebrating the world’s laziest cat!

Popular Italian American restaurant Frankie & Benny’s is giving away 2,000 FREE lasagne dishes to celebrate the animated movie launch of The Garfield Movie, the lazy, wise cracking lasagne-loving iconic cat.

Frankie & Benny’s has proudly teamed up with Columbia Pictures/Alcon Entertainment to salute the upcoming Garfield film.

And to celebrate the movie which opens on May 24 Frankie & Benny’s will be giving away 2,000 of Garfield’s favourite dish!

The first 2,000 guests to pre-book with Frankie & Benny’s via their website between May 24-31and dine in from June 1-30 will receive a single use voucher code to redeem a delicious serving of Classic Beef Lasagne which usually costs £13.45.

Alexandra Gaunt, Frankie & Benny’s Head of Marketing, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Sony, to bring the world’s most-beloved orange cat, Garfield, from the big screen into our restaurants. Since the creation of the Garfield comic strip by Jim Davis in 1978, the world-famous, fat, cynical, orange tabby, has showed off his love of lasagne and hatred of Mondays, which resulted in attracting generations of fans.

Garfield became the world’s most syndicated cartoon, loved by millions for his lazy outlook on life with laid back observations including “Oh no! I overslept! I’m late!
