Individual Restaurant Group is aiming to transport Leeds foodies to the Italian coast with its latest Riva Blu site

Much-loved Italian restaurant, Riva Blu, opens its doors at The Springs Leeds today to welcome guests with Italian charm and hospitality. With the delicious food drawing on inspiration from stunning Southern Italy and the interiors boasting its iconic plush teal accents, this opening will bring with it a taste of La Dolce Vita – the sweet life – all within the heart of The Springs.

With the restaurant opening on 1st August, the second to grace Leeds, the latest addition to the retail park will provide guests with big Italian energy, housing an open kitchen, stunning cocktail bar and al fresco terrace area.

Part of Individual Restaurants, Riva Blu invites guests to indulge in its summer menu which captures the soul of Southern Italy. From classic street food to traditional pizza and pasta, the menu is a tribute to the rich and diverse flavours of Naples.

Guests can embark on their culinary journey at the new Riva Blu with a selection of authentic street food dishes designed for sharing. With everything from Arancini Tartufo, crispy truffle risotto balls with a smoked provola cheese core, to Caprese, a delightful combination of buffalo mozzarella, vine-ripened tomatoes, and garlic. Each bite will transport guests to the bustling streets of Naples.

For a fun and authentic take on a traditional Italian lunch, the new midday menu offers “Baciata” – Italian kissing sandwiches crafted with Riva Blu’s authentic Biga dough recipe. Guests can choose from a variety of fillings, including Caprese, Porchetta, Pollo, and Melanzane Parmigiana, featuring fried aubergine, tomato, mozzarella, and burrata cream.

Guests can celebrate traditional Neapolitan pizza and pasta with gluten-free options available on request. With dishes like Spaghetti Con Cozze, featuring rope-grown mussels, tomatoes, garlic, and parsley, and Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, a rich and creamy blend of buffalo mozzarella and slow-cooked tomato sauce, these are flavours sure to be savoured.

To conclude meals on a sweet note, guests can expect to indulge on decadent Italian desserts such as Pistachio Tiramisu, offering a unique twist on the classic treat with its tantalising pistachio flavour.

Riva Blu’s expert mixologists will transport guests to Southern Italy with a symphony of cocktails inspired by the region’s lively ambiance. Guests can enjoy iconic aperitivos like the timeless Negroni and refreshing Aperol Spritz. Additionally, the beverage menu includes a curated selection of wines, beers, and spiritz, along with a variety of alcohol-free alternatives – there’s truly something for everyone.
